Greentech HQ Bee Initiative: Sustainability in Action
As part of our commitment to practical sustainability, GreenTech HQ is proud to showcase our Greentech HQ Bee Initiative, which directly supports Ireland’s National Pollination Plan. This initiative provides B.A.S.S.E. participants with a tangible way to contribute to biodiversity preservation while enhancing their sustainability credentials.
With one-third of Ireland’s 98 bee species threatened with extinction, our partnership with Killiane Castle Honey creates protected habitats where bees can flourish. Each sponsored hive supports the Irish Native honeybee, and participants also receive solitary bee hives to further enhance local biodiversity.
Each participant in the B.A.S.S.E. programme received a beehive which features their company branding. This solitary beehive will reside at the business owners home or work garden, a new home for Ireland’s bees to live and grow.
In addition, each participant received a fruit tree to be planted in the Greentech HQ orchard at Senan House in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. These trees will contribute to the sustainability of the existing beehive colonies on site and will yield fresh, locally grown fruit for the garden for many years to come.

Looking Forward
The B.A.S.S.E. programme represents a significant investment in the future of the South East region. By bringing together ambitious businesses, providing them with expert guidance, and fostering a collaborative ecosystem, we’re creating the conditions for sustainable economic growth.
As we move forward, GreenTech HQ remains committed to supporting SMEs on their journey to sustainable success. We invite other forward-thinking businesses to join our network and become part of this transformative movement.
