Meanscoil Gharman clean up the River Slaney

“ I only feel angry when I see waste. When I see people throwing away things we could use.” Mother Teresa

Day 4 of our TY Business, Innovation, Sustainability and Marine Care programme. Run as part of the #2050accelerator programme with Dogpatch Labs

TY Students from Meanscoil Gharman participated in a river bank clean up along the River Slaney, enthusiastically headed off from the Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club armed with gloves and pickers!

The clean team class was generously rewarded with hot chocolates courtesy of the Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club.  Lovely to see community working together 👏👏

Well done to all involved and thank you 🙏

We’re in this together

“It’s all about the data” “we’re in it together” “create a sustainable champion within your business” and “we’re here to help” were key takeaways at this evenings event.

It was a great turn out for the Network Ireland event at GreentechHQ when, as part of the #2050accelerator initiative speakers Rita Martin (ESG and Sustainability consultancy & training) and John McGeown Head of SME Sustainability #AIB provided an opportunity for SMEs to get ahead of compliance, understand sustainability reporting that we’re all going to have to do.

Lovely impromptu panel when Tara from Ire Wel Pallets Limited chated about their experience of clients now asking for their ESG emissions to feed back into their reporting. It’s the dominio effect. Emer Coleman Maree Lyng Therese O Connor Natasha Hughes Ed Murphy Liz McGonigal

TIME TO ACT

We were delighted to host AIB for their “it’s time to act” sustainability event.  It was certainly a packed house!

Well done to all involved, particularly the distinguished panelists, Michael Griffin, Griffin Hotel Group; #WalterFurlongJnr, Walter Furlong Grain; Mary B Walsh, Ire-Well Pallets; and Brendan Crowley Wexford Bus and event MC Jonathan McCrea

It is hugely positive to see the tripling of the Green Lending Climate Action Fund. #AIB leading from the front on this critical challenge.

Watching members of the #aib southeast and head office teams in action, showed it is a respectful, collaborative working environment, flexible to make positive change. Congratulations on the success of your sustainability conference outreach.
